I Nefastis sono una band Symphonic Death Metal italiana, fondata nel 2008 da Andrea Lenzi e Simone Colombo.
Hanno debuttato nel 2014 con il concept album “De Diebus Fastis, Nefastis, Infaustis”, un concept album Thrash/Death metal diviso in 4 atti, per metà strumentali.
In seguito all’uscita del debutto la band ha condiviso il palco con: Toxik, Onkel Tom Angelripper, Leprous, Hirax, Bonded by Blood, Methedras e altri.
Poco dopo la formazione si scioglie, costringendo la band a un periodo di pausa.
In questo periodo, il suono è cambiato drasticamente, passando da uno stile più Thrash/Death metal a uno Symphonic Death Metal.
Un nuovo concept album è stato composto, registrato e mixato da Frank Altare (Scott Ian, Kee Marcello, Dough Aldrich, Bumblefoot, Matt Starr, Exilia, Mark Boals) e masterizzato al Fascination Street Studio da Toni Lindgren (Angra, Amorphis, Kreator, Dimmu Borgir, Opeth, Powerwolf).
Il nuovo album sarà pubblicato nel 2025.
